About This Site

Interest in early photography in Korea is growing rapidly. The purpose of this site is to encourage that growth by giving access to images of and information about old Korean photographs. This site is for historical photography only with a cut-off date of circa 1910. The Terry Bennett collection of original photographs of Korea covers the period 1866 – c.1910 and a number of images from that collection will be illustrated on this site.
